Starting out: free plan and trial

Flipify's free tier comes with zero watchlist slots, so in practice you need a paid plan to get alerts, and its trial asks for a card up front. Some reviewers describe setting up their searches and only then meeting the paywall.

Dibs takes the opposite approach. The Free plan has 2 working watchlists with no card, and every account starts with 7 days of Pro. When the trial ends you drop back to Free and keep your watchlists. You're never charged unless you pick a paid plan.

Alerts: channels and speed

Flipify sends push notifications. Dibs sends push and email on every plan, and Discord or webhooks on Power, which is handy if you run a small reselling team or just keep Discord open all day.

Speed is the whole point of an alert, and reviewers of several alert apps, Flipify included, mention alerts arriving late. We can't promise we'll never be slow, so we show it instead: every alert says how long after posting we caught it, and the status page shows median alert times per marketplace.

Dibs puts a resale estimate from recent sold prices on each alert, works out profit after eBay fees and keeps a flip tracker of what you've bought and sold. It's also Canada-first, with Kijiji alerts alongside Facebook Marketplace and eBay.

Billing should be boring. Some Flipify reviewers report billing problems; whatever tool you use, check that you can cancel yourself and that the trial terms are clear before you enter a card.
